About Us
We are a team of qualified and AHPRA registered acupuncturists from The Jade Path Association. We only recruit practitioners with a degree in Acupuncture Therapies or Chinese Medicine.
AHPRA Registration guarantees mandatory ongoing education, adherence to safety standards, and professional indemnity insurance.
The Jade Path Association guarantees quality control and consistency in results by every practitioner.
Our Approach
Age Well and Work Well Acu-Clinics are staffed by The Jade Path Classical Medicine staff – a loose association of classical acupuncturists who collaborate together to revive the lost arts of Classical Acupuncture of using one (or the least number of) needle(s) to achieve the most powerful effects. We offer a combination of ancient classical styles of ‘distal’ acupuncture which often uses one or very few needles on the arms or legs.
The Jade Path practitioners are trained and supported internally to ensure quality and consistency. Our goal is to improve the skills of our practitioners to showcase the best of what acupuncture can offer.
The synergy of professional collaboration and integration of ancient methods sets Jade Path practitioners apart from the rest in the industry.
Needles are generally inserted ‘distally’ – only from the elbows or knees down, thus it is no necessary for patients to remove much clothing.
The One Needle Method
The primary medical texts says:
“When the Perfected Person uses the needle…the response is immediate. The superior physician’s treatment lies not in the number of needles… The highest skill is to treat disease before it arises, and when using needles, to employ the fewest possible.”
Huangdi Neijing: Lingshu, Ch 72: “The Subtle Needling”, 100BC
“When the physician’s mind is tranquil and the qi in harmony, one needle brings balance to the hundred diseases.”
Huangdi Neijing: Suwen, Ch 8, 300BC
“One well-placed needle, used with true understanding, surpasses many crude ones.”
Yang Jizhou of the Yi Zhen Pai (‘One Needle School’), author of the Zhenjiu Dacheng (The Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion), 1522
One needle is superior to many needles because one specific signal is better than many signals for the body to act.
The needle ‘resets’ or ‘balance’ the body on a vibrational/frequency level which initiates a cascade of physiological, endocrine and neural processes. The results are often instantaneous pain relief and relaxation of the muscles and nervous system across the entire body. Moreover, this re-booting acts to re-train the body to heal itself rather than ‘protect’ from further damage. Activating and sustaining the self-healing process is the key to full and lasting recovery.
The one-needle method works best for people with co-morbidities and complex pain issue that are often difficult to treat and resistant to other types of treatments. Patients often experience improvements in multiple levels of well-being since all parts of the body-mind-spirit are connected.
